Eames Fine Art

Secret Bid Auctions

Miro - Carton

Eames Fine Art regularly host Secret Bid Auctions. These are very popular events with our friends and clients as they're really just great excuses for us to host a party and people to snap up some great original artworks at great prices.

Here's how it works with Terms and Conditions:

- All artworks will be displayed on this website and at the Eames Fine Art Gallery.

- Each work is labelled with a lot number, the artist, title, description and brief condition report. Each work is given a guide retail price which is for your information only. The reserve price is the lowest bid that may be accepted for the work. If a work has no reserve price there is no lower limit to bids that may be accepted for the piece.

- If you wish to make a bid for any of the lots you can do so by filling out a bidding slip at the gallery on the evening or if you'd rather bid online please click the red 'Make an enquiry by email' link on the artwork page of your choice, then complete the form, inserting your bid for that artwork in the comments box.

- You may submit as many bids as you like, including more than one bid for each lot if you decide to raise your bid.

- There will be no additional charges added onto the cost of each sale. The successful bid is the final price due for the lot. Where applicable VAT, Artists Resale Right, and framing costs are included in the retail / reserve Price.

- See individual auctions for deadlines to place a bid

- Eames Fine Art will collate all bids immediately after the auction and winning bidders will be contacted within 48 hours of the auction closing. Please ensure that you can be easily reached on the contact number or email address you provide with your bid.

- Winning bids are the highest bid made for each work

- Payment of winning bids is due within 5 working days by cheque, credit/debit card, bank transfer or cash. Artworks will not be released until funds have cleared.

- Once your online form has been submitted it is considered a written contract between the signatory and Eames Fine Art to purchase the named artwork at the stated price if this is the highest bid received for the lot.

- In the event of a tied bid, both bidders will be contacted within 24 hours and given the opportunity to raise their bid.

- By bidding for a lot you undertake to collect the artwork or arrange for its collection if successful. Collections may be arranged by appointment from The Eames Fine Art Gallery on Bermondsey Street during the after show exhibition, and then from the Eames Fine Art Studio on Tanner Street, London, SE1 but must be made within 1 month of the sale. If winners prefer to have their work delivered this can be arranged for a cost.

- Works bought at this Secret Bid Auction are non-returnable and may not be exchanged for other works unless by special consent of Eames Fine Art.

DISCLAIMER
We apologise for the poorer quality of some photographs of auction lots where artworks were provided to us in frames and we were unable to remove them for photographs at late notice. Images are meant as an indication of the image and colours may not always be accurate, the frames, mount and margins are not always shown.
Condition reports are made in good faith and to the best of our knowledge but not all art works have been removed from their frames for inspection (where this is the case the condition report will mention this). We are not responsible for the condition of a work bought at this auction, but if you have any further questions about the condition of a work please contact us ahead of placing your bid and we will do our best to help, or do try to come along to the auction to see the work for yourself.

If you have any further questions please contact Eames Fine Art by email or call 020 7407 6561
