Born 1946

Ross Loveday was born in Wales and practised as an optician for many years before starting to draw and paint in his early 30s. Later based in Essex, his early works were primarily acrylic on canvas, although more recently his focus has broadened to include printmaking. He made his first prints alongside Stanley Jones at the Curwen Studio near Cambridge, later working with the Leicester Print Workshop who are specialists in carborundum printing.

Ross is the winner of several awards and prizes, including The Trevelyan Award prize at Originals '08, and the Intaglio Print Prize at the National Open Print Exhibition held at the Bankside Gallery, London, in 2016. His work can also be found in H.R.H. The Prince of Wales' private collection. Ross has had two major solo exhibitions in London. He lives and works in Suffolk.
