Patrick Caulfield, 1936 - 2005
Patrick Caulfield is widely regarded as a representative of the third generation of British Pop Art. His first solo exhibition was held in 1965 in London, and his international reputation was quickly established with a string of one-man shows held in the UK and in many countries across the world. Retrospectives of his work were held at the Tate Gallery in London in 1981 and again in 2013

His earlier work was influenced by a number of artists, including Lichstenstein, but Caulfield's flat colours, ordinary interiors and black outlines are individual and distinct.
