Ian McKeever RA. British. Born 1946
McKeever was born in Withernsea, Yorkshire in 1946 and moved to London in 1965 to study English literature. Self-taught as an artist, he began to paint in 1969 and held his first solo exhibition at the ICA, London in 1973.

McKeever's work can be found in many of the world's leading galleries and collections: The British Museum, The Government Art Collection, and The Tate Gallery in London; The Morat Institut in Freiburg; The National Gallery of South Africa; the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and The Yale Centre for British Art in Connecticut; among others.

Elected RA in 2003, McKeever lives and works in Dorset.
