Elisabeth BondPage 1/2

Elisabeth Bond (born 1945 - )
Between 1978 and 1992 Elisabeth worked as a playwright for theatre, radio, TV and film. She enjoyed great success with this career, but after bringing up her daughter and step-children she decided to head down a different creative path and began painting and printmaking. She was accepted at The University of East London to do an MA in Fine Art, which she achieved with Merit in 2009.

She regularly visits a mountainous area of Italy known as the Garfagnana where she has built up a knowledge of the mountains and their structure and the network of roads, paths and mule tracks that wind their way around them. All of Elisabeth's prints are heavily inspired by the landscapes she visits and this is particularly evident in her works made in Italy.
