Chloé Bocquet is a young and emerging artist who trained at the Fine Arts Academy (Beaux – Arts) in Le Mans, the Moret Studio, Paris and the Graphics Department of the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst, Leipzig. She has exhibited at Pavillion Théodore Monod, Le Mans, La plus petite galerie du monde (ou presque) Roubaix, Excellence of Youth, Suffolk; Le Salon des Réalités Nouvelles, Paris; and at the Woolwich Print Fair, London. in 2020 Bocquet was artist in residence at La Colombière, Gennes-Val-de-Loire, France.

Bocquet’s work is first and foremost rooted in the tenets of colour and space. Utilising woodblocks, aquatint, linocuts or paint, Bocquet constructs her works by superimposing colour and magnifying its vibrancy. The results lead to the formation of fragmented spaces: overlaps of colour create walls that appear to float on the whiteness of the paper, simultaneously elusive and solid in character. Bocquet states: "In my prints my colours are like apparitions, I like to think of those coloured surfaces as if they are in movement, as if they are glowing like light - and little by little, one print after another, my prints capture this micro movement".

Bocquet lives and works in Roubaix, France.
