Barrington Tobin's sublime works on canvas, panel and paper have brought immense pleasure to all of us at Eames Fine Art over the last eight years. We are therefore thrilled to announce that a major retrospective of his paintings will be opening in Clare Hall, Cambridge this September.
Curated by celebrated art historian, critic and former editor of the Burlington Magazine, Frances Spalding, Retrospective will feature more than 30 paintings and pastels from Barrington's archive and private collections. Many of these pieces are being exhibited publicly for the first time and we are relishing the prospect of this unique opportunity to look back over three decades of Barrington's work.
Arranged in the beautiful public spaces of Clare Hall, designed by modernist architect Ralph Erskine, Retrospective promises to be essential viewing for any collector or admirer of Barrington's work.

The exhibition will then be open daily from Wednesday 25 September until Thursday 31 October. Public viewing times are 10am to 6pm but on occasion these can be affected temporarily by special events (please call 01223 332 360 if you wish to check in advance.) Cambridge is only an hour from London King's Cross and Clare Hall is then a short taxi ride from the station.
