To tie in with his beautiful and powerful new exhibition, Ross Loveday will be joining us in the studio to talk with Vincent Eames about his work and to show us a few additional proofs and sketches made alongside the work being exhibited in the gallery this month.
Ross has always flirted with the cross-over between figuration and abstraction, and the work in this new exhibition makes a bold leap into pure form. Now we see Ross playfully pushing his ideas further and experimenting with techniques so that the mark making which has always been so integral to his art now becomes the very essence and focus of his work. It will be fascinating to hear him discuss this journey with Vincent next week, and there will be the chance to put your questions to Ross after the talk.
This is a great opportunity to see the exhibition but this time hung in the studio, as we'll be moving it to the other venue for the evening. All works, including the previously unseen sketches and proofs for his original prints will be for sale in the studio and online.
