A stunning new exhibition of paintings and pastels by acclaimed British abstract artist, Barrington Tobin. This exhibition will debut two collections by Tobin: 'The Winnower Paintings' and the 'Sonnets to Orpheus' series.
According to Tobin, there must be a balance in his work between heart and intellect - without a perfect combination of these two elements, his paintings cannot work. Therefore the new collections that Tobin has created for Eames Fine Art's summer 2019 exhibition take influence from Tobin's personal connection both to nature and to poetry.
These new works are contemplative and grounded but also at times spiritual and whimsical. Before working as an artist, Tobin was a music specialist. The rhapsodic tonality present in his painting reflects this previous life.
