Eames Fine Art are delighted to welcome Ross Loveday back to the studio for this, his seventh solo exhibition with us. 'Beyond the Lines' is a collection of over 30 powerful, new paintings on canvas and board.

These works are all landscape-inspired though heavily concerned with capturing and playing with light, the changing weather and even the mood of a landscape, sometimes to the extent that works veer towards complete abstraction so far removed are they from the confines of the actual landscapes they were initially based on.

This collection of paintings are also stongly influenced by an incredible new series of carborundum prints which Ross produced last year with master printmaker Andrew Smith.  These in turn were inspired by the firey, smokey, music of Miles Davis. Like his musical hero, Ross's works are innovative and exciting but stick to strong simple lines and gestures which linger, reappear in different works and stick with you, so pleasurably for a long time.
