    Eames Fine Art is hosting a showcase of Alexander Calder's colour lithographs at the Studio this month.

    These exquisite and very sought after works offer a unique insight into Calder's artistic process and his relationship with space, composition and colour.

  • Calder is widely celebrated for his sculpture and extraordinary mobiles, but his graphic work deserves equal attention. In these confident lithographs, his vocabulary of movement, balance and playful abstraction becomes wonderfully immediate: vivid colour, assured black line, and forms that seem to float, spin, bounce and shift across the paper.
