Ian Chamberlain and Maxine Gregson were both approached by the band Public Service Broadcasting to design a limited edition poster for their anniversary show 'The Race for Space'. Each artist created an incredible original screenprint poster, each as an edition of 300. They all sold out on the night of the concert.

There are a few remaining signed artist's proofs of these posters, along with a new Special Limited Edition with gold leaf by Maxine and some of the original cyanotypes used in the creation of Ian's design. These last works, very collectable and great value will be on sale exclusively through Eames Fine Art this week.
It is clear to see why both Ian and Maxine were approached for this commission - since both artists take the look of mid-century scientific and public-information material and rework it as layered, tactile print imagery; a style which suits the band's music and image so well.

The last nine posters from Ian's edition will be accompanied by one of the unique cyanotype prints created for the poster. To purchase the poster select the image you would like to accompany it below.
I was not trying to replicate an etching but let the screenprint have an originality of its own. I enjoyed the sharing and bouncing of ideas, the image slowly altering as the conversations developed.
