EAMES FINE ART PRINT ROOM OPENS

1 February 2020

As the name suggests the Print Room specialises in original prints, and we've filled this new space with hundreds of beautiful etchings, screen prints, lithographs, engravings and linocuts at a wide range of prices by all of our favourite artists.

This new gallery opens on Saturday 1st February. We'll be celebrating the opening with a special mixed display and some of our favourite printmakers will be popping in to join us throughout the day. We'll be serving drinks and nibbles and there will be a wonderful selection of new work up on the walls and in browsers for you to look through. As a special celebration, anything you purchase on our opening day will be discounted by 10%.

The Print Room is just a 2 minute walk from both our Gallery on Bermondsey Street, and our Studio on Tanner Street, meaning on a Saturday when all three venues are open you can visit the area and easily walk between the three spaces to see the different exhibitions and browse through literally hundreds of different original artworks for sale in one visit. The new Print Room is further down Bermondsey Street from the gallery - past José's Tapas bar, opposite White Cube Gallery, and is next door to the street's famous coffee shop with the rude name!

We're open 6 days a week (like the Gallery it will be closed on Mondays), and the space will be a mixture of our two other venues: we'll have room to put up beautiful displays and exhibitions, but we'll also have lots of browsers, plan chests and portfolio boxes so that we can show you a wider range of work by each artist.  We have a flexible hanging space so that we can move artworks around and show you how unframed works would look when framed and up on the wall.

We've also recently acquired a beautiful mid-nineteenth century star-wheeled press which will live in the Print Room and we'll be using regularly for printmaking demonstrations.

We know that buying art should be such a thrilling, indulgent and enjoyable thing to do. Some people like to buy from professionally curated, slick exhibitions while others prefer to browse through stacks of art like searching for a rare record in a music shop. How you buy art is as important as what art you buy, and we enjoy creating stimulating environments overflowing with the most gorgeous artworks we can find for you to choose from.
