We are delighted to present: Anchoress . This is a new body of work by Rebecca Holmes that explores the quiet strength and steady resilience found in the anchors of our lives. Drawing on geological metaphors and the historical figure of the anchoress—a woman who embraced solitude and contemplation — Rebecca creates beautiful, original prints and sculptures that radiate stillness, gravity, and an elemental sense of presence.
In these new works, landscape becomes archetype: dark oceans, lunar skies, and textured terrains evoke the deep, grounding energy of the feminine monolith at the heart of the exhibition.
On the 9th January, Rebecca gave a talk at her exhibition, which touched on her more experimental and latest prints. Click the link below to read the transcript and blog post.

"Like geological forms weathering time and pressure, the anchors in our lives: grandmothers, mothers, friends, sisters and partners hold space, absorb storms, and offer grounding. Anchoress is both a tribute and a call inward to the support systems around us."Rebecca Holmes
The result is a collection of other-worldly landscapes that feel both intimate and immense, inviting viewers to reflect on memory, support, endurance, and the unseen forces that hold us steady.
