Born in 1974 in St. Petersburg, Russia, Veta Gorner studied Interior Design and Architecture at the St. Petersburg State Artistic and Industrial Academy, graduating in 1998. Since moving to the UK, Gorner has studied printmaking at Morley College, was an associate member at PRINTSPACE Studio in 2003 and a member of the Greenwich Printmakers Association between 2003 and 2009.

 

Veta is a multidisciplinary printmaker working in etching, silkscreen and lithography. She combines a range of techniques in her artwork from freehand drawing to digital manipulation, reinventing centuries-old techniques to better communicate contemporary sensibilities.

 

Veta Gorner is a fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, having been elected Associate in 2014 and Fellow in 2016.
